Description
This casserole is great with fried chicken and potato salad.
Ingredients
| 1 | bn | fresh asparagus |
| 1 | c | soft bread crumbs |
| 1⁄3 | c | dried buttered crumbs |
| 2 | c | milk |
| 1⁄4 | c | grated cheese |
| 1⁄3 | t | pepper |
| 2 | T | flour |
| 4 | hard-boiled eggs (chopped) | |
| 1 | t | Salt |
| 3 | T | butter |
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°. Cut asparagus in 1" pieces, cook until tender; drain.
Make a sauce of butter, flour, seasonings and bread crumbs.
Put a layer of asparagus in bottom of 1-qt buttered casserole. Add sauce and half of hard-boiled eggs. Repeat with additional layer.
Sprinkle with dried buttered crumbs mixed with the cheese.
Bake for 20 minutes.
