Description

Pickling cucumbers make for good eating--no matter how they are prepared. Striaght from the garden, these smaller, bumpier cucumbers have a hearty flavor to them that makes them perfect for salad, sandwiches, and of course, pickles.

Before you begin pickling cucumbers, make sure you have all the tools you need. There's a few different ways you can put up pickles. The first and easiest way is to use a prepared mix--which eliminates the need for a pickle crock and having to wait several weeks to taste the fruit of your labor!

Many stores carry pickling mixes, so you can check there or you can try online at these locations:

If you plan on trying this the "old fashioned" way... You'll want a pickle crock or barrel, which can be found here:

(Of course, Amazon also has listing for crocks!)
